During the 4th Hari Raya, one of my cousins, Nurul got engaged and I was the unofficial photographer of the day. Since i brought Leo (my D300), it was an opportunity to test drive its capabilities. Due to the fact that my speedlight was currently broken, i had to bring my studio light as a replacement. Quite a mess, to set it up and everything, but it all turned out ok. The engagement was very simple, very straight forward. The formal discussion ended in less than 10 minutes.
On the other note, when i edited these photos, i was really impressed with D300 sharpness and color saturation. Even with the same lenses i used with my previous D80, major differences can be noticed even without zooming to 100%. The new nikon expeed sensor is really worth the money..

Everyone, meet Leonidas, my new trusted firepower of warfare. Packed with 12 megapixel resolution, 6 frames per second burst rate, 3″ tack sharp LCD, weatherproof magnesium alloy body and a stunning ISO3200 performance.
When it comes to camera, I’m not the type of guy who went berserk everytime a new camera being introduced into the market. Well, yes i’m a professional wedding photographer, but im happy old camera ( a nikon D80) and I see no point of upgrading. I better off buying a new lens, a quality glass. Lenses tend to stay over the years but camera body gets obsolete every 2 years. For my job, i’m happy with my D80. It delivers what i want perfectly…
But suddenly I crave for more power which my trusted D80 can’t deliver anymore. I’m not keen to upgrade to a new camera just because D300 has 2 megapixels more than D80. I don’t care about the megapixels. What i want now is a faster burst rate and a better high ISO performance, since most of my work is done around a low light environment. I wish i could have the D3 and crank the ISO to 6400 and still not worry about the noise. But a D300 would suffice, even D700 is still out of reach for me. Maybe next upgrade
Leo feels good in my hand. Sturdy and tough, maybe a battery grip will make it a bit better. Burst rate is superb, just what I needed. Took it for a ride, test out the ISO performance and Leo didn’t dissapoint me at all. At ISO1600, the pics are marvellous. Very little noise and even at 3200 sometimes the noise is not quite visible at first glance. Very impressive.
D300 is a very nice camera, it delivers what I expected. Kudos to nikon for delivering this superb camera.

Hmm baru grad. Kerja kat Explorium Sdn Bhd, skang dah bankrap. Started dating with my current wife, Lucy. Best tu tenet kat air pancut kat KLCC.. hahaha. Mulakan hidup sebagai blogger as scravius. Dulu time kerja suka curik tulang, sbb tu bleh jadi blogger berjaya yg terampil. Dok ofis, tak YM, blog. Tu la je keje. Then kat situ la aku blajar fotografi ngan colleague.

3) 3 tabiat buruk anda masa sekolah.
Suka lari dr ustaz. Sbb rambut panjang dan ikal mayang, ustaz pun suke aa. Mmg femes dulu aku lari dr ustaz sampai cikgu kelas pun cakap “fairuz, ustaz nk sampai dah tu, apa lg.. lari aa”. Cool Siot cikgu aku…
Seluar londeh sapai leh sapu koridor skolah (xumb pun same je!). Boxer mmg femes takyah nk cakap aa..
Kalau cikgu pompuan, yg tak pakai tudung pastu pakai butang baju kurung tak kancing.. hmm pikir sendiri aa apa aku buat. Jahat siot..Pervert gile..
